Our primary focus is Hodgkin lymphoma survivors, especially long-term survivors who may be dealing with late effects of treatment. Many of our resources may also be helpful to caregivers, healthcare professionals, and survivors of other cancers who face similar long-term treatment effects.

Late effects are health problems that can happen months, years, or even decades after cancer treatment. For Hodgkin lymphoma survivors, these may include heart disease, secondary cancers, endocrine issues, pulmonary problems, fertility concerns, and emotional health challenges.

Many Hodgkin lymphoma survivors, especially those treated years ago, were not warned about the long-term risks of treatment. Hodgkin’s International exists to help survivors better understand these risks, know what screenings to ask for, and advocate for appropriate followup care.

A survivorship care plan is a tool that helps survivors and their healthcare providers understand treatment history, long-term risks, and recommended follow-up care. It can help survivors ask better questions and receive more appropriate long-term monitoring.

Our website includes research articles, videos, mental health resources, a survivorship care plan, survivorship clinics, financial and disability resources, books, and educational materials survivors can share with their doctors.

Yes. We offer mental health resources, and there are also several private Facebook groups created and run by members of the Hodgkin lymphoma survivor community where people can connect, share experiences, and feel less alone. While these groups are not officially affiliated with Hodgkin’s International, they include many survivors and can be a meaningful source of peer support. In some cases, fellow survivors may have lived experience that is ahead of what research has fully captured.
