A wonderful history of the "War on Cancer" and includes several quotes from Dr. Vincent DeVita- one of our Hodgkin lymphoma heroes! Dr. DeVita had an instrumental role in developing the MOPP chemotherapy protocol- the treatment that ultimately made Hodgkin's a curable disease. Also mentioned in the article is our "own" Susie Leigh, fellow long-term Hodgkin lymphoma survivor (FIFTY YEARS NOW!). Susie had a pivotal role in the foundation of the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship and in the cancer survivorship movement. This is a great story, and one that we are ALL a part of.
